This course develops the skills and knowledge needed to operate portable hand
power tools and to gain a fundamental understanding of current legislation and
regulations that encompasses these skills and the need to work safely at all times.
Course Content:
- Explain the relevant safety requirements and procedures for the safe operation of
- portable power tools
- Carry out a suitable and sufficient Risk Assessment
- Define Hand – Arm Vibration Syndrome, describing the symptoms, and state who is at risk and how the condition can be prevented
- Use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment [PPE]
- Demonstrate safe operation of identified power tools
